Combination Padlock
A combination padlock uses a system of numbers to open the lock. Sometimes a combination padlock can be seen in an electric form, in the shape of a door entry keypad!
Combination Lock
The first examples of a combination lock was found in a Roman tomb. The first modern combination lock is attributed to a german in 1878 who was commissioned to make a lock for Tiffany's Jewellers!
Combination Locks
Combination locks can be either single or multi-dial. Single dial combination locks are much like you would see on a safe in a film where you dial one way to enter the first number, then rotate the dial in the opposite direction to enter the second number and so on.
Combination Padlocks
Multi-dial combination padlocks have a number of dials. Each dial refers to a number in the combination. Some of these locks are considered to be the least secure, but using one of these combination padlocks is still preferable to using no security at all.
